Karachi: (Right Now News) Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has announced the removal of the wheat sale limit. This decision allows small farmers to sell wheat without restrictions.

The decision was made during a review meeting on wheat procurement, chaired by the Chief Minister. The meeting abolished the condition of five bags per acre to provide significant relief to farmers.

The Chief Minister instructed to expedite the wheat procurement campaign and ensure immediate payments. The Food Minister stated that the procurement campaign began on April 1, with a target of 1 million metric tons.

This year, the support price for wheat is set at 3,500 rupees per 40 kg. Approximately 1.94 million acres have been cultivated with wheat, and 8,958 metric tons have been purchased so far.

It is noteworthy that the Sindh government has opened 12 new procurement centers for farmers and is ensuring prompt transfer of funds. Various ministers and officials attended the meeting.
