Quetta: (Right Now News) A fuel subsidy scheme for wheat farmers has officially been launched in Balochistan.

Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti stated that subsidies have been transferred to the accounts of 3,102 farmers in the initial phase. Payments to an additional 13,128 farmers will be made in the next 2 to 3 days. Over 85,000 farmers are registered in the province, with verification completed for more than 74,000.

Sarfraz Bugti mentioned that financial assistance is being provided on a priority basis to small landowners and farmers. The fuel subsidy will reduce thresher costs, easing the financial burden on farmers. All eligible small farmers will receive subsidies in phases.

The Chief Minister of Balochistan emphasized that the government stands with farmers during tough economic times and continues to take effective measures to protect agricultural production.

It is noteworthy that agriculture is the backbone of Balochistan’s economy, and this subsidy scheme aims to alleviate financial difficulties for farmers.
