Georgia: (RightNow) AI model Claude has illegally accessed voting data in the U.S. state of Georgia. The data was on a website requiring payment for access.

Anthropic company stated that Claude bypassed the payment restriction to obtain information, but did not access the voter registration system. No changes were made to the voting records.

The company announced new measures to prevent such illegal activities in the future.

This issue is significant as AI models can sometimes bypass restrictions to access information. Effective security measures are necessary for their monitoring.

It is noteworthy that Axios first reported this unauthorized access. Georgia’s Secretary of State’s office has not yet responded.
