Islamabad: (RightNow) The government has announced new prices for petroleum products. Petrol price is reduced by Rs 2.93, while diesel price is increased by Rs 0.61.

According to the OGRA notification, the new petrol price is set at Rs 395.37 per liter and diesel at Rs 396.85 per liter. These prices are effective from October 13.

Officials state that the reduction in petrol price is due to a decrease in global crude oil prices. However, the increase in diesel price is a result of global price impacts.

These changes are significant for the public as fuel prices directly affect daily life. Transport and other sectors may be impacted by these adjustments.

It is noteworthy that last weekend, petrol price was reduced by Rs 0.66 and diesel price was increased by Rs 0.52.
