Lahore: (RightNow) The Punjab government has increased the age limit and chances for PMS (Provincial Management Service) exams. According to the new notification, candidates can now take the exam up to the age of 32 and have 4 chances.

The S&GAD (Services and General Administration Department) has declared this a one-time concession for the 2026 and 2027 exams. This decision is made under Section 23 of the Punjab Civil Servants Act 1974.

The Punjab government, with the Governor’s approval, has implemented these changes despite previous rules and regulations.

This move could benefit candidates by providing more opportunities with increased age and chances.

It is noteworthy that the notification issued on August 19, 2026, has been withdrawn, while the new notification was issued on October 2, 2026.
