The government raises petrol price by Rs 3 and reduces diesel price by Rs 1 due to global market changes.
Islamabad: (RightNow). The federal government has increased the petrol price by over Rs 3, while reducing the diesel price by more than Rs 1. These changes were announced in a notification issued for October 2.
The Ministry of Petroleum Division stated that OGRA adjusted petroleum product prices following government directives. The petrol price is now set at Rs 390.66 per liter, and diesel at Rs 399.34 per liter.
According to the notification, the petrol price increase and diesel price reduction are due to global market changes. The new prices will be effective from midnight.
This change will impact the public as the difference in petrol and diesel prices will be noticeable. The government has decided to determine prices daily.
It is noteworthy that since July 17, petrol prices have decreased 21 times and increased 30 times, while diesel prices have decreased 20 times and increased 31 times.
