Islamabad: (RightNow). The government announces a reduction in petroleum product prices. According to OGRA’s (Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority) notification, petrol prices decrease by 14 paisas per liter, and diesel prices drop by 1 rupee 89 paisas.

After the reduction, the new price of petrol is 387 rupees 40 paisas, and diesel is 400 rupees 35 paisas per liter. This reduction is effective from October 1.

The government states that the price determination considers global market prices and import costs. Officials claim this reduction will provide relief to the public.

It is noteworthy that petrol and diesel prices were also reduced yesterday, resulting in a total decrease of approximately 4 rupees for petrol and 8 rupees 18 paisas for diesel over three days.

Remember, crude oil prices in the global market remain stable, while stalled negotiations between the US and Iran have limited further reductions.
