Islamabad: (RightNow) Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has approved key decisions and proposals regarding ongoing and proposed projects of the National Highway Authority (NHA). Abdul Aleem Khan states that the Prime Minister will inaugurate the completed NHA projects. Deadlines for project completion have also been set.

During a meeting chaired by Abdul Aleem Khan, ongoing and proposed projects of the National Highway Authority were reviewed. It was informed that various projects in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be completed in the coming months and will be ready for inauguration.

A report on construction work on the Karachi, Quetta, Chaman Pakistan Expressway N25 was also presented. Abdul Aleem Khan requested details regarding funding for the M6 Motorway.

The Federal Minister reported rapid progress on the Sialkot Kharian Motorway. The Lodhran Multan Expressway is expected to be completed by December, while the expansion work on the Pindi Bhattian Faisalabad Motorway will be finished by January.

It is noteworthy that the NHA network comprises 3.13% of the country’s roads, carrying over 80% of the traffic. A performance report of NHA’s two and a half years will soon be presented to the Prime Minister.
