Islamabad: (RightNow) Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Asad Qaiser has contacted Jamaat-e-Islami’s Deputy Emir Liaqat Baloch via telephone. He expressed a desire to meet the Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami for an all-parties conference.

Asad Qaiser termed Jamaat-e-Islami’s movement against the petrol levy as a public movement. He stated that the movement has public support and could pose a challenge to the government.

Liaqat Baloch informed Asad Qaiser that the Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami is currently in Karachi. He assured that Asad Qaiser’s message would be conveyed to the Emir.

This contact comes at a time when the protest movement against the petrol levy is gaining momentum in the country. Public circles claim that the levy is causing inflation and action against it is necessary.

It is noteworthy that Jamaat-e-Islami has launched a nationwide protest movement against the petrol levy. The aim of this movement is to pressure the government to address public issues.
