Moscow: (RightNow) Ramzan Kadyrov has once again achieved a significant victory in the recent Chechnya elections. Russia’s central election commission announced that he secured 99.85% of the votes.

In Russia’s Muslim-majority region of Chechnya, Kadyrov faced two opponents, Ismail Danilkhanov and Khalid Nakayev, who garnered only 0.05% of the votes.

Ramzan Kadyrov has been leading Chechnya since 2007, and with this victory, he will serve his fifth term in office.

These elections were held alongside Russia’s national and regional elections, where voting also took place for regional leadership in other areas.

It is noteworthy that in the 2021 elections, Kadyrov also secured 99.73% of the votes, and he has once again emerged with strong support.
