According to security sources, Afghan Taliban targeted Pakistani posts with heavy weapons and mortars. Pakistani forces retaliated effectively, targeting multiple Afghan Taliban posts.

Pakistani forces maintained full control over the border areas and effectively countered the aggression. As a result of the intense response, Afghan Taliban abandoned several posts and fled.
