Karachi: (RightNow) Mustafa Kamal, leader of MQM Pakistan, announces a movement for youth rights in Karachi, set to begin in 6 weeks. He states that Karachi’s youth will demand a new province on Shahrah-e-Faisal.

During a youth convention, Kamal criticized that Karachi’s tax revenue is used for the Chief Minister’s House instead of city development. He highlighted that Karachi contributes 664 billion rupees annually, yet Sindh’s rulers do not allocate even 100 billion in return.

Kamal further stated that Karachi will no longer accept charity but will claim its rights through new administrative units and provinces. He emphasized that Karachi’s resources have been exploited for 18 years.

He urged Karachi’s youth to stand up for their rights, announcing that in 6 weeks, they will march to demand their province.

It is noteworthy that the Sindh Assembly has repeatedly passed resolutions against the division of Sindh, and the provincial minister has dismissed MQM’s demands as unserious.
