Kohat: (RightNow) A detailed report on the Police Lines blast has been sent by the Bomb Disposal Unit to the Central Police Office. The report assesses the blast’s epicenter and the nature and quantity of explosives used. The crater measured 6.6 feet by 11 feet, with a depth of 4.6 feet.

According to the report, the total amount of explosives used in the blast was 869 kilograms. The vehicle used in the explosion has been initially identified. Unexploded materials were also recovered from the Special Branch building.

Authorities have reported that two IEDs and a suicide jacket were found in the Special Branch block. The suicide jacket contained 4 IEDs. After the explosion, attackers entered the old Kohat Police Lines and conducted an armed assault.

The attack occurred at the Kohat Police Lines mosque during Friday prayers, resulting in 22 deaths and over 100 injuries. The incident has spread fear in the area and raised questions about the performance of security agencies.

It is noteworthy that the attack took place on September 18. Among the deceased were police officers. The Bomb Disposal Unit’s report has clarified the nature of the attack.
