Gaza: (RightNow) Thousands of children in Gaza have returned to schools after three years. War-damaged educational institutions have been converted into tents and temporary centers.

According to the United Nations, 98% of schools in Gaza have been affected. Approximately 660,000 students were deprived of in-person education.

Gaza’s Ministry of Education has established temporary schools for the 2026-27 academic year. Students are learning with limited facilities.

The aim of this educational revival is to re-engage war-affected students in education. Despite the lack of educational facilities, students express happiness.

It is noteworthy that since the war began in Gaza in 2023, 73,000 Palestinians have died. Israel accuses Hamas of using schools for military purposes.
