Lahore: (RightNow) PML-N MNA Mahmood Bashir Virk has passed away. He represented NA-77 and was battling cancer.

Mahmood Bashir Virk’s funeral was held in Lahore, led by renowned scholar Saqib Raza Mustafai. Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar and other political figures attended.

Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar stated that Virk’s death creates a significant void in the city’s politics. He had been active in politics since 1970 and lived with integrity.

It is noteworthy that Mahmood Bashir Virk was elected to the National Assembly five times and was a close associate of Nawaz Sharif. His death leaves Parliament without an active member.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed condolences, stating that Virk’s parliamentary, political, and social contributions will always be remembered.
