New York: (RightNow) Social media platform X has announced a new revenue system for content creators. The aim is to discourage copied content and financially benefit original creators.

X has informed creators that the system is named the Original Content Rewards Program. The current Ads Revenue Sharing Program will end on September 7, 2026.

Applications for the new Original Content Rewards Program will be accepted from September 8, 2026. Verified users will not need to complete the process again.

Since the start of X’s monetization, there has been a surge in copied content. Many accounts have uploaded videos clipped from TV broadcasts.

It is important to note that the new program aims to discourage copied content and benefit original creators.
