Indore: (RightNow) The Madhya Pradesh government has launched a unique scheme to promote the national language in India. Under this scheme, students pursuing engineering education in Hindi medium will receive a reward of ₹2 lakh.

Shri GS Institute of Technology and Science in Madhya Pradesh has started a B.Tech batch in Hindi medium. The batch has 30 seats, with 20 students already enrolled.

The government states that the aim of this initiative is to popularize engineering education in the national language. It is also expected to reduce dropout rates.

It is noteworthy that this step is taken under India’s new national education policy. It will benefit students who are weak in English and hesitant to pursue engineering education.

Experts have worked for four years to transition engineering to Hindi. Alongside Hindi education, English skills will also be taught to ensure students meet global standards.
