Quetta: (RightNow) The Sariab to Kuchlak railway project in Balochistan is completed in 120 days at a cost of 3 billion rupees. The project was executed under the vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in collaboration with Pakistan Railways and the Government of Balochistan.

The 32-kilometer Sariab to Kuchlak railway track has been restored and upgraded, with embankments secured. Sariab and Kuchlak railway stations have been upgraded, and new turntables have been installed.

Upgrades have also been made to Sheikh Manda and Baleli railway stations, with the reconstruction of the G.O.R halt station. Solarization, electrical work, and installation of new furniture and benches have been completed.

The Jinnah People’s Train is expected to operate on this new route soon, providing better travel facilities and modern railway connectivity for the people of Balochistan. The Prime Minister’s vision is a practical embodiment of Balochistan’s development.

It is noteworthy that Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has stated that providing modern travel facilities in Balochistan is a priority for Pakistan Railways.
