Skardu: (RightNow) The body of missing Pakistani climber Sohail Sakhi has been found under an avalanche on Broad Peak.

Base camp sources confirmed that porters discovered the body during Broad Peak trekking. The body has been identified as that of Sohail Sakhi.

According to sources, Sohail Sakhi’s body has been brought to the base camp and will be airlifted to Skardu by helicopter.

Climber Sohail Sakhi hailed from Hunza and was attempting to summit Broad Peak.

It is noteworthy that 15 days ago, an avalanche caused 10 climbers to go missing, with 7 bodies recovered so far.
