Islamabad: (RightNow) Former cricket captain Shahid Afridi has urged tourists to maintain cleanliness in the northern areas. In a social media video message, he said, “Come, enjoy, but do not litter.”

Afridi’s video shows him picking up trash from various locations. He further stated that he will install dustbins in the area so people can dispose of waste properly.

Shahid Afridi also announced the construction of a cricket pitch for local children before August 14, fulfilling their request. According to him, this step is for the welfare of the residents.

The northern areas are among Pakistan’s most beautiful spots, attracting many tourists. However, the issue of littering is increasing, impacting the environment.

It is noteworthy that the cleanliness issue in the northern areas has been under discussion for several years. The government and local administration are taking various measures to address this problem.
