Johannesburg: (RightNow) The ICC has announced the host venues for the 2027 ODI World Cup. South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia will be the joint hosts.

According to the International Cricket Council, matches will be held at 12 venues. The World Cup returns to Africa after 24 years. Fourteen teams will participate, playing 57 matches.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah stated that announcing the host cities is a significant milestone. He mentioned that the World Cup in Africa will be a historic moment for global cricket.

This event will highlight Africa’s culture, hospitality, and love for the sport. The new format includes Super Series and Super Seven stages.

It is noteworthy that the 2027 World Cup edition will be hosted by African nations, which is expected to boost cricket’s popularity.
