Islamabad: (RightNow) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi has submitted a response in the federal constitutional court regarding the PTI Release Force issue. He has requested the dismissal of the petition by proving the non-existence of the Release Force.

The Chief Minister clarified in an 8-page response that the founding PTI’s release peace movement is peaceful, unarmed, and voluntary. He stated that the Release Force was never established.

Suhail Afridi claimed that the constitutional petition is based on misinformation and was filed for political purposes. He asserted that the movement is protected under Articles 16, 17, and 19 of the constitution.

The response mentioned that there is no threat to public order and linking the release movement to past organizations is misleading. An appeal was made to dismiss the petition in court.

It is noteworthy that the court had requested a response from Suhail Afridi, and the petition against the Release Force is scheduled for hearing on July 29.
