Islamabad: (RightNow) Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has stated that Kashmir remains a disputed territory internationally, and India’s aggressive statements cannot alter this fact. Pakistan has rejected the recent statements by the Indian Defense Minister.

Khawaja Asif expressed on social media that Indian statements cannot affect Kashmir’s status or peace in the region. It is impossible to change internationally recognized facts through pressure.

He further stated that the future of Jammu and Kashmir should be decided according to United Nations resolutions and the will of the Kashmiri people. The Kashmir issue is recognized on an international level.

Asif accused India of sponsoring terrorism in South Asia, claiming that India’s expansionist ambitions are causing instability in the region.

It is noteworthy that India’s irresponsible rhetoric could increase tensions in the region. Pakistan is committed to protecting its sovereignty and security. The Indian leadership’s statements are an attempt to divert attention from internal political crises.
