Islamabad: (RightNow) Pakistan’s IT exports have reached a record level of $4.6 billion. The Ministry of Information Technology reports a 21% increase compared to last year.

According to the ministry, the IT sector’s trade surplus has reached 85%. The government has provided modern IT skills training to over 100,000 young people.

The ministry states that the government introduced over 250 Pakistani IT companies and startups at more than 20 international exhibitions worldwide.

The ministry mentioned that IT industry representatives were included in the Prime Minister’s foreign visits. The government has introduced incentives for exporters.

It is noteworthy that the government has continued the final tax regime and provided a 0.25% tax facility on exports.
