Zurich: (RightNow) FIFA announces that winners of the 2026 World Cup will receive special championship rings along with the traditional trophy and gold medals. These rings are inspired by American sports traditions.

According to FIFA, this is the first time that any FIFA competition winners will receive such rings. A total of 2026 rings will be produced, corresponding to the year of the World Cup.

FIFA states that 30 rings will be reserved for the winning team’s players and officials, while 1996 rings will be available for fans worldwide as officially licensed products.

Each ring will feature the FIFA trophy design on one side and the winning team’s identity on the other. They will be uniquely numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity.

It is noteworthy that the FIFA World Cup 2026 final will be played on July 19 at the New York New Jersey Stadium between Spain and Argentina.
