Peshawar: (RightNow) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has increased the house requisition allowance for government employees. The finance department has issued an official notification regarding this.

According to the finance department’s announcement, employees from grade 3 to 22 in the Civil Secretariat, Chief Minister’s Secretariat, and Governor’s Secretariat will receive the allowance as per the new rates.

Employees in grades 3 to 6 will receive Rs 6,000, grades 7 to 10 will receive Rs 9,000, and grades 11 to 13 will receive Rs 13,000 as allowance.

For officers in grades 16 to 22, the allowance is set between Rs 18,000 and Rs 52,000. This announcement may also benefit federal employees.

It is important to note that these new rates will be effective from July 1, 2026, reducing the residential expenses for employees.
