Karachi: (RightNow) Following a US naval blockade, 2 Iranian oil tankers have redirected towards Karachi. These tankers departed from Iran carrying crude oil.

Reports indicate that these tankers are now showing Karachi port as their next destination. Experts suggest that due to US sanctions, the tankers seek a safe place to wait.

The tankers, named Rani and Amil, are transporting 1 million barrels of crude oil. They departed from the Gulf and changed course towards Karachi before the new US naval restrictions.

Analysts state that these tankers will not unload oil in Karachi, as it could expose Pakistan to US sanctions.

It is noteworthy that in the past, Iranian oil tankers have waited near Karachi’s maritime boundaries during US sanctions.
