Vehicle sales in Pakistan have increased by 40%, signaling a recovery in the auto sector.
Islamabad: (Right Now News) Vehicle sales in Pakistan have surged by 40%. The Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association has released data on the sales of cars, rickshaws, tractors, and motorcycles.
According to the report, 155,000 vehicles were sold in Pakistan during the fiscal year 2025-26. Car sales in June increased by 13% compared to May, reaching 15,378 units.
Sales of trucks and buses rose by 67% to 7,440 units last fiscal year. Jeep and pickup sales saw a 41% increase, with 50,814 units sold.
Experts state that strong purchasing power, improved auto financing, and the introduction of new models have boosted vehicle sales. Increased commercial activities have also led to a rise in commercial vehicle sales.
It is noteworthy that Pakistan’s car industry is rapidly moving towards recovery. According to the PAMA report, sales of motorbikes and rickshaws increased by 30%, with 1,972,077 units sold.
