Tensions between Iran and the US have led to a rise in global oil prices, potentially impacting petroleum prices in Pakistan.
Tehran: (Right Now News) Rising tensions between Iran and the US have led to a significant increase in global crude oil prices. The price of Brent crude has risen by over 3% to $79 per barrel.
The price of US crude oil has also increased by more than 3%, surpassing $74 per barrel. The price of Murban crude from the UAE has seen an increase of over 5% per barrel.
The rise in global oil prices could affect petroleum product prices in Pakistan. If the increase in global oil prices continues, petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan may also rise.
Experts say that tensions between Iran and the US and the situation in the Strait of Hormuz have created uncertainty in the global energy market, leading to a surge in oil prices.
It is noteworthy that the US attacked various regions in Iran, resulting in three deaths and over ten injuries. The US President has announced the restoration of Iran’s naval blockade.
