Karachi: (Right Now News) Renowned businessman Arif Habib has announced an investment of 125 billion rupees in PIA’s aircraft system. He stated that the national airline will be modernized and transformed into a role model again.

Arif Habib assured the Army Chief and Prime Minister of his commitment to PIA’s revival. He further mentioned that flights to the USA are expected to resume this year.

He explained that past government investment halts hindered PIA’s growth. Administrative mismanagement affected international routes.

The plan includes adding five new aircraft to PIA’s fleet annually, aiming for 60 active planes in five years.

It is noteworthy that PIA currently has 18 active aircraft, with more to be reactivated after repairs. Under a government agreement, 66.66% of shares have been paid.
