Chilas: (Right Now News) In anticipation of tomorrow’s elections in Gilgit-Baltistan, Section 144 has been imposed in Diamer. District Magistrate Muhammad Owais has taken immediate action to ensure law and order.

A ban has been placed on the display of all types of weapons, aerial firing, and drones in Diamer. Strict action will be taken against flying drones without a written NOC (No Objection Certificate).

These orders will remain in effect for 60 days. However, police officers and other law enforcement agencies are exempt. The District Police Officer has been instructed to enforce these orders.

The election campaign has concluded, and political parties are busy with final preparations. Efforts are underway to bring Diamer citizens to the polls.

It is noteworthy that Diamer district has a total of 158,714 registered voters across four constituencies. Additionally, 5,000 Punjab Police personnel have arrived for security.
