Islamabad: (RightNow) Federal Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has raised questions about bureaucrats migrating abroad. He emphasized the need to assess the commitment of high-ranking officials to Pakistan.

Khawaja Asif stated on social media platform ‘X’ that while capable officers exist in the bureaucracy, many have chosen to settle abroad permanently.

He mentioned that planning to reside abroad during government service raises questions about the officers’ commitment to their official duties.

The Defense Minister noted reports of officers relocating to countries like Portugal and mentioned he has previously expressed views on this topic.

It is noteworthy that Khawaja Asif has stressed the need for a transparent review of the financial resources and assets of officers migrating abroad.
