Islamabad: (RightNow) DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry confirms the presence of Pakistani troops in Saudi Arabia as part of a defense agreement. He clarified that the Makkah Agreement aims to protect Saudi Arabia and the holy sites.

Lieutenant General stated in a CNN interview that Pakistan seeks a peaceful resolution to the US-Iran conflict. He emphasized that Pakistan does not want the war to escalate, as it benefits no one.

The spokesperson condemned Israeli and US attacks on Iran and opposed Iranian attacks on Arab countries. He mentioned that Pakistan is acting as an honest mediator.

It is important to note that attacks by Houthis on Saudi Arabia have increased, and the US and Israel continue their conflict with Iran. The defense agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey aims to enhance joint defense capabilities.

Remember, on October 5, an emergency meeting in Riyadh agreed on troop deployment. Under this agreement, an attack on one country is considered an attack on all.
