Pakistan’s Ministry of Information denies New York Times report on Air Force involvement in Yemen.
Islamabad: (RightNow). The Ministry of Information has dismissed a New York Times report as false. The report claimed Pakistani Air Force planes were used against Houthi targets in Yemen.
The ministry declared the report completely baseless, stating that Pakistani aircraft are not part of Saudi Arabia’s military operations. The ministry warned global media to avoid speculating on potential troop deployments.
The Ministry of Information further stated that if deployment of Pakistani forces is ever required, relevant authorities will provide information. The New York Times report is entirely false.
This news emerged as Saudi Arabia reported thwarting missile attacks by Houthis. The Houthis claimed to target the Saudi capital.
It is noteworthy that Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey signed a joint defense agreement in Mecca on August 7. Under this agreement, an attack on one country is considered an attack on all three.
