Karachi: (RightNow) A significant revelation has emerged regarding appointments in Sindh’s Board of Revenue. Recommendations have been made to suspend 20 out of 63 sub-registrars.

Out of the 63 officers who refused new appointments after promotions, 43 have been spared. The suspended officers face allegations of corruption and other charges.

Senior Member of the Board of Revenue, Khalid Haider Shah, has sent this controversial summary to the Chief Minister of Sindh. Sources indicate that most of the spared officers are close to political figures.

It is noteworthy that, according to the rules, an officer has the right to refuse a promotion. However, a double standard has been applied in this case.

Sources claim this action is being taken to appoint favored officers in key cities. The affected officers have decided to approach the court.
