Islamabad: (RightNow). Supreme Court lawyer Ahsan Bhoon has sent a Rs 5 billion defamation notice to Captain (Retd) Safdar for declaring his LLB degree fake. The notice demands the retraction of the baseless and defamatory statement.

Ahsan Bhoon stated in the legal notice that the claim of his degree being fake has damaged his reputation. The notice mentions his degree obtained from Punjab University.

According to the notice, Ahsan Bhoon earned his LLB degree from Punjab University in 1989 and was enrolled as a High Court lawyer in 1992.

The issue arose when Captain (Retd) Safdar claimed the absence of records for Ahsan Bhoon’s degree. Safdar stated he would apologize if the lawyers presented their degrees.

It is noteworthy that Ahsan Bhoon has also filed complaints against Captain (Retd) Safdar in cybercrime and judicial commission. The Controller of Examinations at Punjab University has verified his credentials.
