Pakistan’s Ministry of Information denies Afghan claim of checkpost destruction, reports 13 Taliban killed.
Islamabad: (RightNow) The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has dismissed the Afghan Ministry of Defense’s claim of destroying a Pakistani checkpost in Spin Boldak as false and contrary to facts.
According to the ministry, during the night of September 24 and 25, aggression from Afghanistan was met with a strong response, resulting in the death of 13 Afghan Taliban and several injuries.
The Ministry of Information stated that effective action by Pakistani forces targeted Afghan Taliban positions. The ministry also claimed to have released video evidence of targeting Taliban hideouts.
The Ministry of Information labeled the Afghan Ministry of Defense’s statement as fabricated, stating that such claims are not surprising. Afghan Taliban have previously made similar unfounded claims.
It is noteworthy that an infiltration attempt by Afghan Taliban in the Chaman sector was thwarted yesterday. Security sources reported that Pakistani forces effectively targeted multiple Taliban posts in a timely manner.
