Lahore High Court denies immediate suspension of detention for Dr. Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi, issues notices to parties.
Lahore: (RightNow) The Lahore High Court has rejected the request to immediately suspend the detention notification for Dr. Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi, sisters of the PTI founder. The court has issued notices to the parties involved.
The hearing was conducted under Justice Abhar Gul Khan, where lawyers Rana Mudasir Umar and Barrister Taimur represented Dr. Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi. Advocate Farrukh Lodhi represented the Punjab government.
The court stated that reports would be requested from the parties, and the suspension request of the notification would be considered. The court has ordered the affected parties to submit their responses.
This matter is significant as the detention notification against Dr. Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi has been challenged, with a request for suspension based on their innocence.
It is noteworthy that Noreen Niazi’s daughter, Sakina, also filed a petition through her lawyer to nullify the DC’s notification, demanding protection of their rights.
