Islamabad: (RightNow) A recent survey reveals 91% of Pakistanis find doing business in the country extremely difficult. They have highlighted various issues contributing to business challenges.

In the survey conducted by I-POR, 46% of respondents identified the complex tax system, and 19% pointed to the lack of access to loans as major business obstacles. Additionally, 12% blamed corruption, while 10% cited rising electricity and gas prices.

According to the survey results, 76% of Pakistanis demand additional legislation from the government to protect businesses. They claim current laws hinder business growth.

This issue is crucial as 66% of people express concern over the increasing debt burden on the country. They believe this burden is affecting economic growth.

It is noteworthy that regarding the IMF program, 30% of individuals consider it harmful, while 19% see it as beneficial. Meanwhile, 38% state that the IMF program does not benefit the public.
