Sharjeel Memon accuses MQM of changing stance in Sindh Assembly, demands apology from Mustafa Kamal.
Karachi: (RightNow) Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon accuses MQM of supporting a bill in committee but changing stance in Sindh Assembly. He stated that MQM maintained its tradition of creating uproar over the bill without participating.
Sharjeel Memon revealed that the Sindh Assembly proceedings were watched live, where MQM created a ruckus over the Local Government Amendment Bill. He mentioned that MQM supported all clauses in the multi-party committee.
He said the government can present the bill, but MQM changed its stance in the assembly. He further added that MQM has rebelled against its leader.
Sharjeel Memon stated that MQM avoided local elections and its leader Mustafa Kamal labeled Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui as a ‘RAW’ agent.
It is noteworthy that MQM has previously faced allegations of differing narratives inside and outside the assembly. Sharjeel Memon demanded an apology from Mustafa Kamal, asking for clarification if he was wrong.
