Religious schools to join legal banking system, ensuring financial transparency and security.
Islamabad: (RightNow) Significant progress has been made in resolving the longstanding issue of bank accounts for religious schools. An agreement has been reached between religious leaders, the State Bank, and financial institutions to integrate schools into the legal banking system.
At a conference under the Directorate General of Religious Education, it was agreed to complete legal and administrative requirements. The process of opening bank accounts for schools will be expedited.
The consultative meeting decided to remove banking barriers faced by schools in other areas. Participants stated that this issue is not administrative but a national necessity linked to millions of students.
The meeting also agreed to provide religious schools with access to the formal banking system. Opening accounts through a transparent process will ensure the protection of schools and banking institutions.
It is noteworthy that banking facilities will secure and document the financial affairs of schools. This will improve financial management, record-keeping, and donation administration.
