A private bank’s ATM in Karachi was robbed of 5.3 million rupees, with the operations manager involved. Police arrested the suspects and recovered 2.974 million rupees.
Karachi: (RightNow) A theft of 5.3 million rupees occurred at a private bank’s ATM on Aram Bagh Road, Karachi. The bank’s operations manager was found involved.
Police reported that the suspects were arrested with the help of CCTV footage. The stolen money has also been recovered.
Authorities stated that the bank’s operations manager and his friend were involved in the theft. The suspects unlocked the ATM to steal the money.
Police revealed that the operations manager had kept the stolen money with his friend. The recovered amount is 2.974 million rupees.
It is noteworthy that during the theft, the suspects placed chewing gum on the CCTV camera to avoid identification.
