Nimroz: (RightNow) Fourteen Afghan nationals were found dead in the desert of southwestern Afghanistan. They were attempting to reach Iran.

According to officials, these individuals had been missing for several weeks. After their vehicle broke down, they began traveling on foot.

The search in Nimroz province began when the vehicle’s driver, dehydrated, sought help.

This incident highlights the severe human smuggling situation. Temperatures in Nimroz can reach up to 45 degrees Celsius.
