Sujawal: (RightNow) A new oil and gas well has been discovered in Sujawal district, Sindh. Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) announced the discovery in the Shah Bandar Block.

According to PPL, the Rahi X-1 well is producing 5 standard cubic feet of gas and 12 barrels of oil daily. This information was provided by PPL through a letter to the stock exchange.

This is the fourth well discovered by PPL in the Shah Bandar Block. The Rahi X-1 well is jointly owned by PPL, Mari Energies, Sindh Energy Company, and GHPL.

Pakistan Petroleum Limited states that the well was drilled entirely with local expertise without any foreign assistance.

It is noteworthy that this discovery by Pakistan Petroleum Limited will enhance the country’s energy reserves and help stabilize the local economy.
