Karachi: (RightNow) The Pakistan Navy ship PNS Taimur conducted a successful rescue operation to save fishermen stranded in the northern Arabian Sea. The incident occurred when the fishing boat’s engine failed, leaving them adrift.

According to the Pakistan Navy, 19 fishermen, including 11 Pakistanis and 8 Iranians, were safely rescued during the operation. The boat was in distress approximately 120 nautical miles south of Gwadar.

The Joint Maritime Information Coordination Center contacted the Pakistan Navy, prompting an immediate rescue operation. Navy personnel provided the affected individuals with food, drinking water, and medical assistance.

This rescue operation reflects the Pakistan Navy’s preparedness and commitment to safeguarding lives in maritime accidents. The successful operation ensured the safe return of the distressed boat to shore.
