Islamabad: (RightNow) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar states that positive progress is being made in the strategic partnership between Pakistan and the US. The relationship between the two countries is witnessing further strengthening.

In a meeting with a US congressional delegation and business representatives, Ishaq Dar shared that discussions on trade and regional situations were held in two meetings with the US Secretary of State. Both countries are committed to strengthening their relations.

Ishaq Dar emphasized the increased importance of parliamentary ties, noting the significant role played by the US Congress in enhancing relations.

He mentioned that the US is Pakistan’s largest export market. Last fiscal year, trade between the two countries amounted to $9.4 billion. This figure could reach $20 billion in the next five years.

It is noteworthy that over 80 US companies are operating in various sectors in Pakistan. Several companies are exploring investment opportunities in technology and energy.
