Saqib Chudhary found guilty in Momina Iqbal harassment case; bail extended to September 3.
Lahore: (RightNow) MPA Saqib Chudhary has been found guilty in the harassment case involving actress Momina Iqbal. The NCCIA (National Crime Control and Investigation Agency) completed the investigation and announced the decision.
A hearing on Saqib Chudhary and his wife Samira’s interim bail took place at the Lahore Sessions Court. Additional Sessions Judge Nusrat Siddiqui presided over the hearing. Momina Iqbal’s lawyer Adnan Ehsan and Saqib Chudhary’s lawyer Rana Maroof appeared in court.
The investigating officer informed the court that the investigation concerning Saqib Chudhary is complete. Samira, his wife, submitted her mobile phone to the NCCIA two days ago, which has been sent for forensic analysis.
Momina Iqbal’s lawyer requested the cancellation of the accused’s bail, arguing that their freedom could be dangerous. The court has summoned the lawyers for final arguments in the next hearing.
It is noteworthy that the NCCIA registered the case on Momina Iqbal’s complaint, alleging harassment and threats.
