Flood-Damaged Railway Bridge Disrupts Lahore–Faisalabad Train Operations

A railway bridge near Qila Sattar Shah is damaged by flooding, halting Lahore to Faisalabad train operations.

Lahore: (RightNow) A railway bridge near Qila Sattar Shah is damaged due to heavy rains and flooding. Train operations on the Lahore to Faisalabad section are temporarily suspended.

According to railway officials, the severe weather between Qila Sheikhupura and Masan has affected railway infrastructure. As a precaution, train services on the Lahore and Faisalabad section are halted.

The Divisional Transport Officer states that the routes for Karakoram Express and Shalimar Express have been altered. These trains will now travel from Lahore via Raiwind, Sahiwal, and Khanewal.

Passengers of Karakoram 42 Down will be accommodated in Millat Express 18 Down from Faisalabad. Mianwali Express is rerouted via Wazirabad and Lala Musa.

It is important to note that repair work on the damaged bridge and railway track is ongoing. Pakistan Railways has stated that they are monitoring the situation and will keep the public informed of further developments.
