Lahore: (RightNow) The Wildlife Department in Lahore has rescued a pair of white lion cubs from Kahna and transferred them to the Safari Zoo. Wildlife officers, with the help of local residents, safely recovered the cubs during the operation.
The spokesperson stated that a suspect involved in the illegal trade of exotic birds in Multan was fined 50 thousand rupees. In Rajanpur, a suspect was arrested for illegal dove hunting and fined 15 thousand rupees.
According to the spokesperson, a total of 65 thousand rupees in fines were collected from two suspects during operations in Lahore, Multan, and Rajanpur. In Mianwali, wildlife rangers promptly halted a partridge hunting tournament.
These operations are conducted to ensure the protection of wildlife in the region. Wildlife officers have urged the public to refrain from illegal hunting and trade.
