Jhang: (RightNow) A moderate flood is recorded in the Chenab River. Heavy rains at Khanki, Qadirabad, and Chiniot have caused this situation.

According to the Flood Forecasting Division, water flow at Qadirabad Barrage is 188,000 cusecs, Khanki records 192,000, and Chiniot 170,000 cusecs.

Floodwaters have entered over 15 villages near the river in Jhang. The district administration advises residents to remain cautious.

Low flood conditions persist in Ravi and Sutlej rivers, while water levels rise in Tarbela and Mangla dams, posing threats to agriculture and residential areas.

It is noteworthy that recent rains have increased river water levels, creating flood situations. Local residents are advised to take precautionary measures.
